Vrina Mezze Bar is more than just a dining destination; it’s a heartfelt tribute to our roots and a celebration of our journey. Named after the small village of Vrina, near Olympia—the historic site of the first Olympic Games—our story began when my father, with an adventurous spirit, courageously jumped ship in Gladstone in the early 1950s, seeking new opportunities in Australia. Vrina Mezze Bar is a homage to his legacy and the rich cultural heritage he brought with him.

Inspired by the charm and ambiance of the Greek Islands, Vrina Mezze Bar offers a fun, casual dining experience with a focus on tradition. Our kitchen embraces the mezze style of dining, where locally sourced produce is prepared simply yet beautifully, allowing you to savour each bite at your own pace. A fabulous venue on Kawana Island. How lucky are the locals to have this smart; casual; Mediterranean restaurant within walking distance. Congratulations to the owners; Chef and staff. The food is fresh; flavoursome and delicious. Great menu offering many share dishes and gourmet pizzas. Do yourself a favour and order the calamari and mince cigars - next level deliciousness. The beverage menu is perfect! Spiced Margherita - one of the best I've had. Coco Chanel - wow! The water views and indoor / outdoor fresh vibe - huge tick! Music....suits venue and not too loud. And...furbabies welcome. Perfect relaxed restaurant / bar with water views. Chilled and professional. The main waitress excellent!!

The service and the food were excellent, we had the chicken (mains) it was cooked to perfection and very tasty, best meal we have had in a long time! We will be back, great spot with beautiful views.

An amazing place for a yummy breakfast. We had poached eggs on sourdough with one of the yummiest tomato relishes I have ever eaten. My husband had eggs benedict, and it was just the right size, we saw the big breakfast being served and it was enormous. The coffee was served in the most perfect pink pottery mugs and was absolutely delicious (I am fussy with my coffee). Check out the scenery-gorgeous! We left a tip because the service was also amazing!!

We had a great lunch sitting on the deck. Portion sizes were good and the food was great. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful.

I booked the table for my Friend's 40th Birthday. Nothing like a challenge pleasing everyone. Much to our delight everyone was thrilled with their Tapas and Meals- not to mention the lovely cocktails. Our Waiter provided great service. What a stunning backdrop as the sun was setting. Keep up the good work....

A local delight, we can walk to. We enjoyed Lunch there today, with a NZ visitor. The vibe absolutely perfect. A full house, with a 2 piece entertainment….. Excellent food, excellent service, and a superb setting overlooking the canal . 10/10. This is 2 weeks after our last visit, again with more NZ visitors…perfect to walk here , and this time for the yummiest breakfast! Their food is absolutely delicious, the views superb and now our “go to” place with visitors.

We had a baby shower at Vrina yesterday and honestly one of the best restaurants on the sunshine coast. Incredible atmosphere, the food is out of this world and the staff cannot do enough to help! I will be visiting monthly at least!

The Restaurant decor & set-up is beautiful. The restaurant acoustics are great so not noisey. Staff super friendly & the service was perfect. Great location & the outlook over the lake is lovely. All our meals were beautiful & the lunch menu price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back.
